Fuel Efficiency in the 2019 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid
When Chrysler released the first minivan in 1984, it captivated drivers with endless possibilities: a spacious interior fit for many passengers, plenty of cargo space with easy configurations, and towing capabilities. While SUVs are starting to take over in popularity, there’s no reason to believe minivans will ever go out of style because of their vast utility. Check out some of the performance features in the 2019 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid here on our blog!
The main incentive for driving a hybrid is because of the increased fuel efficiency. The Pacifica is no different. While in hybrid mode, the Pacifica Hybrid gets 84 MPGe with an all-electric range of 33 miles. While this number may seem low, it’s important to remember that 33 miles will cover a lot of ground if you’re just picking the kids up from school or running errands. If you find thata most of your miles are being used for these purposes, you’ll be surprised how long you’ll be able to go without having to fill up with gas. Best of all, if you find that you need to take the vehicle on a trip more than 33 miles, the Pacifica Hybrid will seamlessly switch back to using gasoline for fuel, in which case the Pacifica Hybrid will get a combined 34 mpg. A traditional household-type 120-volt outlet can charge the Pacifica Hybrid completely in about 12 hours, but those with access to the larger 240-volt outlet will be able to charge the minivan in a mere two hours. Keep in mind that this isn’t a typical lightweight hybrid like a Prius that gets little power. The 2019 Pacifica Hybrid actually gets an impressive 260 horsepower despite weighing in at over 5,000 lbs!
