Pre-Trip Maintenance Tips

Are you planning a road trip this winter? Whether you are headed from one side of Florida to the other or across the country, we recommend bringing your RAM 1500 or Jeep® Cherokee to the service center here at Posner Park Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM. When you schedule pre-trip maintenance for your vehicle, you’re taking the proper steps to avoid unnecessary breakdowns, expensive repairs, and missing out on a fun vacation with family and friends.

Oil Change

If the oil in your car, truck, or SUV hasn’t been changed recently, or if you’re due for one soon, consider getting it done before you head out. Fresh oil will keep your engine and transmission running smoothly for the entirety of the trip, whether you’re traveling 30 miles or 400 miles.

Tire Rotation

You’ll be using your tires a lot on your trip, and a tire rotation will help prevent any tire issues while on the road, as it ensures even wear and proper performance. Our technicians will also check the air pressure of each tire! A tire rotation is a vital service that should never be overlooked.

Fluid Check

While your vehicle is at our car service center, our technicians will inspect the fluids in your vehicle and top off what’s necessary. We’ll check the following:

  • Oil
  • Brake fluid
  • Windshield wash
  • Coolant
  • Transmission fluid

Full Audit of the Vehicle

For extra peace of mind, our service center happily accommodates multipoint inspections. A thorough examination will be conducted of the interior, exterior, and under-the-hood mechanisms.

Schedule your appointment for service at our Davenport, FL car service center prior to your winter trip. We look forward to serving you soon here at Posner Park Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM!

Raminator Coming to a Central Florida Car Dealership Near You!

Find Out More About this Exciting and FREE Entertainment— the Raminator Coming to Town on November 17

What is 10 feet tall, 12 and a half feet wide, weighs more than 10,000 pounds and has 2,000 horsepower? It’s the Raminator and you can get a look at it on Nov. 17 when it comes to Posner Park Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram FIAT and two other Low Payment King car dealership locations in Central Florida!

The oversized RAM will wrap up its racing schedule in September and is making appearances around the country at a select number of dealerships.  On November 17, it is coming to several car dealerships in Polk County. If you miss it at one dealership, there’s always the chance to catch it at another!  Here’s a glimpse at the Raminator’s schedule for November 17:

The Raminator is primarily driven by Mark Hall, a six-time Driver of the Year, and Mat Dishman. The souped up RAM 2500 was named the Truck of the Year from 2002-2006. It was the Monster Nationals Champion from 2003-2006 and again in 2013 and 2014, reaching a speed of up to 99 mph in 2014, the top speed of any monster truck.

No matter where it appears, the Raminator has proven to be a big attraction to those young and old— among both boys and girls. It’s like what Hall said when the truck appeared at a dealership in Georgia: “Monster trucks appeal to everybody and it’s nothing more than a big toy to see.” Plus, everyone wants to see how a monster truck is put together, and with the oversized wheels and its height, it’s not hard to see why it is thrilling to see in person— both on display and in action!.

The Low Payment Kings family of Central Florida car dealerships, including Posner Park Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram FIAT, are proud to have this vehicle coming here and wants not only our friends and family from Davenport to see it, but people from all over Central Florida to take advantage of this exciting and free entertainment.  And, while you’re here, check out the more than 340 Rams we have in stock. They aren’t as tall or have as much horsepower as the Raminator, but their reliability, safety, and durability are well known and anyone on our Five Star team will gladly show you the advantages of having one of your own.

How to Safely Tow in the RAM 1500

The RAM 1500 is one of the most powerful pickup trucks on the market today. Not only can you transport a lot of material in the bed of the truck, but you can also tow an assortment of large cargo items. As Florida car dealers, many of our customers reach out about proper towing etiquette for their boat. To assist, we put together a quick reference guide!

Check All Connections

Never pull away without checking all the connections when towing a boat. The trailer for the boat has chains and wires that need to be connected to your RAM 1500 near Orlando, FL; the chains must be secured to the boat’s trailer and the hitch on your truck. The wires are also important, as they ensure that the brake lights and turn signals on the back of the boat trailer work in unison with the ones on your truck.

Properly Secure the Boat

The boat must be properly secured on its trailer before heading out on the road. Most boat trailers have a winch, either automatic or manual, that has a wire and hook at the end of it. The wire and hook need to be tightened and connected to the hull of the boat. Make sure the boat is on the rollers correctly so that it doesn’t sway when the truck is moving.

Check the Tires

Don’t forget to check the tires prior to every trip when towing a boat, including the tires of the boat trailer. You want to make sure there’s no damage, the treads are at an adequate level, and that they have the proper amount of air pressure.

What to Do When Your Lease Expires

If you currently lease a vehicle, you may be wondering what your options are at the end of your contract. Today, the team at Posner Park Chrysler Dodge Jeep® RAM will provide you with some important tips for preparing for the end of your vehicle lease.

90 Days from Expiration

When you are 90 days from the expiration of your lease, you should begin doing your research. Review the contract to find out if there are any stipulations written in it about the expiration of the lease. You also need to look at the contract to find the residual value, which is the value of the vehicle at which you can purchase it when the lease is done.

60 Days from Expiration

When you are just 60 days from the end of your lease, you need to determine what you will do. There are three options for you to consider: walk away from the lease as it expires, trade in the vehicle for something else, or purchase the vehicle for the residual value.

One Month from Expiration

Once you are one month from the expiration date of your lease, you should begin to prepare your vehicle for what’s to come, especially if you are not purchasing it. If you are going to trade it in at our Dodge dealership serving Davenport, we recommend cleaning it out and bringing it in for a detailing. The vehicle will have to undergo an inspection, which checks for wear and tear, mileage, and overall condition.
